Chloe and Shannon's Story

Update September 24th 2000

Sunday 24th September

On Sunday, we decided to take the twins to Hornsea Freeport, on the East Coast of the United Kingdom, for once it was a nice day on the coast, best day for weeks with all the rain we have been having.

Our first port of call was the minature village, one of the main attractions of Hornsea Freeport, the price for admission was only £1.00 for me and Emma with the girls going free which was nice.

Shannon seemed to love looking into the minature shop windows - a sign of things to come :-) (she may like spending money), on the other hand Chloe tried the doors of all the houses and shops, and even tried to take a toy fire engine, before we noticed her picking it up.

Next we visited the indoor amusement area, which included a soft play area for under 4's, which again only cost £1.00 each for unlimited time in the area. This area included a small ball pool, which Shannon loved but Chloe did not take to very well. Shannon enjoyed been put at the top of a slide and then sliding into the balls.

After spending around an hour in this area, we fed the twins and moved onto the seafront at Hornsea, which turned out to be cold and very windy, with very high waves.

All the excitement must have had an effect on the girls because on the way home at 2pm they both fell to sleep (which is not the norm for the girls!), they also went to sleep at normal time that evening which was also good :-)

Now it is only 5 weeks to the twins 2nd Birthday, on the 2nd November 2000 - hopefully some new photos will be added from the birthday.
