Chloe & Shannon Lives from Easter To The 14 June 1999

June 14, 1999

From now on the site is taking a different shape with updates at regular intervals instead of a diary of events. This update is from Easter to today (14 June 1999)

Since Easter both Girls have put on weight steadily and now weigh as follows Chloe 19lbs 5oz (body mass indicator of 20.32 and Shannon is 17lbs 4oz (BMI of 18.13), which is slighly underweight for her height and age but she seems happy enough with herself and never refuses feeds.

Since Easter Chloe has started to coo big style, she now makes noises which sounds like words such as mum-mum and hmm-hmm (when feeding!), she has also started to move over onto her front (she struggles to do it and then doesn't know what to do once on her front!) at present she can not turn back onto her back but that will come with time, on the other hand Shannon turns onto her front and then she turns back over so she can reach things that are to her side (she rolls until she gets to what she wants!), which is funny to watch, also Shannon now finds it more comfortable sleeping on her front - we put her onto her back but she turns over and goes to sleep on her front!

The twins where christened on the 15 May at Goole Parish Church - more about the christening can be found at the christening page - which will be added soon (with photos of the twins in their christening dresses!).
Emma has started to work again, she now works for three evenings a week from 2pm til 8pm at an old peoples home in Goole as a care assistant, she seems to be enjoying it and I am enjoying the challenge of getting the twins to sleep after their evening feed at 6pm!
Chloe recently has developed a snuffly nose which is effecting her sleep, this could have something to do with her teething a bit, she is happy in her actions but just cannot settle when she goes to bed and hence when she cannot sleep she screams the house down, on Saturday night she screamed on and off til 1am and then woke up at 6am, last night was better though she settled at 9:30pm but she slept through to 7am, in fact I had to wake her for her feed!
Shannon has started to explore every nook and cranny she can get to - she can crawled backwards at the moment but no matter how hard she tries she cannot go forwards, she is always on the lookout for something to pick up and look at - at the moment her favourites are her shoes, nappy bags and wipes, nappies and also her clothes (as well as her toys!)

As you can see from the index page that this page has been awarded an award from ABC of Parenting website, the site is now a three star parenting site in the multiple babies category
