Chloe & Shannon Easter

March 29, 1999

I have now got a whole week off work to play with the babies

April 2, 1999 - Good Friday

The babies were up early today, Chloe at 5am for a feed and Shannon at 6:30am, a break from the norm because they went to bed later last night. Chloe decided to have a crying day today for no apperent reason, the only thing it could of been is the fact that she was tired all day - she was awake most of the night cooing, so she got herself out of routine!

The babies now have a set routine when it comes to feeds, this is that they have a savoury solid feed on their second feed of the day and then on their bedtime feed they have porridge - this seems to work because they sleep for over 10 hours at night, so we can get some shut-eye ourselves!

April 4, 1999 - Easter Sunday

Today the twins had a treat in the way of Cow & Gate Chocolate pudding for their solid feed, which they both gulped down, they now have had the taste of the dreaded chocolate, we shall regret this in later life!, apart from this the day was very quiet, Chloe got up at her normal time of 7am and this time she slept during the night and didn't coo until the morning!

Chloe had another one of her crying days but this time it has been much worse then normal, in fact we had to take her to the Doc's in the evening, he said that sometimes babies cry like this for no reason, and we had to just cuddle her and comfort her, so nothing is wrong with her.
The following morning I checked Chloe's mouth and to my surprise she had a reason for crying TEETHING!!, yes she is teething - we have given her gel and some bikki-pegs for her to bite onto - she seems to in less distress now then what she was in. Shannon has also started teething but it doesn't seem to be bothering her that much!, which is good

The twins are now 6 months old and they weigh 16lbs 12oz (Chloe), and 14lbs 12oz (Shannon), they both like to be bounced on our knees, in fact Shannon has got a really infectious laugh, whilst Chloe smiles a lot she only occassionaly gives out a laugh. Chloe spends nearly all her time awake cooing loudly, but she waits until bedtime to give her best coo's and then when she has her eyes nearly closed (like she is squinting) she gives us a really cute goodnight smile!.

Shannon is usually the first to bed at night and she seems to like to pick her covers up and throw them over herself and then laugh when she has done it, Chloe on the other hand likes to move up her cot, we put her feet to foot but she kicks herself to the head of the cot and plays with her side bumper!.

More news to come on the twins soon, and some more photos will be added when I can get to scanner, keep posted
